What is Canesbalance Bacterial Vaginosis
Canesten Canesbalance Vaginal Gel is a triple benefit treatment that relieves symptoms of Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) symptoms. It also prevents BV for women who are prone to it. By regulating the pH balance of the vagina, it alleviates unpleasant odour and any abnormal discharges. Canesten Canesbalance Vaginal Gel also restricts the growth of harmful bacteria and supports the cultivation of good bacteria known as lactobacillus.
CanesBalance should be used for women experiencing symptoms of Bacterial Vaginosis (BV). Such symptoms include the production of thin vaginal discharge, fishy odour, itching, and burning during urination. This treatment comes in an accessible pre-filled tube. The pack contains 7x5 ml sterilized disposable applicators suitable for one course of treatment. The applicators contain medicinal ingredients such as Lactic Acid, which has been proven to improve the production of good bacteria and prevent Bacterial Vaginosis.
By restoring the natural environment of the vagina, Canesten Canesbalance Vaginal Gel helps to improve vaginal health when it is compromised. However, since the vagina is a very sensitive area, be sure to do research on the product or contact your GP/ OBGYN if you have any doubts about compatibility.
How Effective is Canesten Canesbalance Vaginal Gel?
Canesten Canesbalance Vaginal Gel is clinically proven to treat symptoms of bacterial Vaginosis by restoring the vagina’s pH balance to its natural and healthy level. It has triple benefits; it restricts the growth of harmful bacteria, supports the natural environment of the vagina, and encourages the development of good bacteria.
Clinical trials have also indicated that the formulation of Canesbalance Vaginal Gel is typically well-tolerated and effective for reducing symptoms of Bacterial Vaginosis.

How Should I Use Canesten Canesbalance Vaginal Gel?
Canesten Canesbalance Vaginal Gel can be used both to relieve symptoms of Bacterial Vaginosis (such as unpleasant odour or unusual discharge) and for prevention for women who are prone to experiencing relapsing episodes of Bacterial Vaginosis.
If you are using Canesten Canesbalance Vaginal Gel to relieve symptoms, use 1 tube daily for 7 consecutive days. However, if you are seeking prevention because you are prone to Bacterial Vaginosis, Canesbalance Vaginal Gel should be used only for 3 consecutive days after the last date of menstruation.
It is recommended to use the gel right before bedtime. To use, begin by twisting off the end of the canesbalance Vaginal Gel tab and sit or lie in a comfortable position. After you are comfortable, carefully insert the applicator’s neck into the vagina as far as it could go while still being comfortable. Gently squeeze the applicator to release the contents of the tube into your vagina. While still squeezing, remove the tube and discard safely.
It is common for Canesten Canesbalance Vaginal Gel to slightly leak after insertion, so it is also recommended to wear a panty liner. Do not be cautious of slight leakages; the product will work regardless.
How Does Canesten Canesbalance Vaginal Gel Work?
Canesbalance Vaginal Gel works by firstly restoring the pH balance of the vagina. By restoring the acidity level, the vagina becomes a suitable place for good bacteria to flourish. Bacterial Vaginosis typically occurs when the vagina loses its normal slight acidity, which is usually created by a bacterium called lactobacilli.
In Bacterial Vaginosis, anaerobic germs, including Gardnerella, are prone to replacing normal organisms found in healthy vaginas. Anaerobes are the bacteria that do not need oxygen to survive but produce an unpleasant odour. Canesten Canesbalance contains lactic acid and glycogen that alleviates this unpleasant odour while also reducing abnormal discharge. Unwanted growth of anaerobic germs will also be eliminated.
How long do I use Canesten Canesbalance Vaginal Gel before I notice a difference?
You should be able to notice an improvement in your vaginal health 7 days after using it daily. You should be expecting less vaginal odour, decreased discharge production, and an overall improvement in comfort.
If you are experiencing adverse effects, or if your Bacterial Vaginosis still persists even after using Canesten Canesbalance Vaginal Gel, be sure to keep in touch with your GP or OBGYN. Otherwise, you may also contact one of Click Pharmacy’s consultants.
What are the side effects of Canesten Canesbalance Vaginal Gel?
Canesten Canesbalance Vaginal Gel contains lactic acid, which is typically used to alleviate unpleasant odour and kill bad bacteria. Still, its acidity may cause adverse effects to broken or injured skin. The product may potentially cause slight stinging if used during vaginal fungal (yeast) infections or when there are small cuts or cracks in the vaginal tissue.
This product is also clinically proven to not have negative effects when used during pregnancy or during menstruation. However, if you are pregnant and are feeling vaginal infection symptoms, you should get medical assistance as soon as possible.
Canesten Canesbalance Vaginal Gel is not known to affect orally administered medicines. Stop using Canesbalance Vag Gel immediately if your vaginal condition seems to look or feel worse and also if you are experiencing any other adverse reactions. Seek medical help if any injuries are worsened.
When shouldn’t I use Canesten Canesbalance Vaginal Gel?

NutraBlast, on the other hand, uses boric acid as its primary active ingredient. Boric acid may be effective in treating fungal or bacterial infections, but it is toxic and may cause a fatal overdose if used incorrectly (during a vaginal bleeding or used on top of the injured vagina).
