Rennie Peppermint Tablets are chewable peppermint-flavoured tablets which provide fast and effective relief of indigestion and heartburn. Rennie Peppermint tablets contain two natural antacid namely calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate which neutralizes excess acid in the stomach with the formation of water and other natural substances. These antacids are taken with the view of reducing the concentration of acidity in the stomach.
Adults: Two tablets are to be sucked or chewed according to the advised prescription, preferably one hour after meals and before going to bed. For heartburn, patients can take an additional 2 tablets at any time between these two periods.
It is advised that one should not take more than 16 tablets in a day.
Children of age 6-12 can take one tablet to be sucked or chewed when required. It would be dangerous if 8 tablets in one day or 24 hours are to be taken.
Rennie Peppermint does not have any negative effects on pregnancy.
These tablets should not be taken for a long time. If the symptoms do not subside after two weeks, one should visit the pharmacist or the doctor.
Children under the age of 6 years old should not take this product without consulting a doctor.
