What is Nytol Herbal

Nytol Herbal Tablets include naturally occurring elements to assist facilitate a calm and restful sleep.

What dose should I choose? 

Nytol Herbal Tablets are available in this dosage only.

How should I take Nytol Herbal Tablets?

Nytol Herbal Tablets are for oral use only. Swallow the tablet whole with water - do not chew. 

Adults should take 2 tablets 1 hour before bedtime. This product is not recommended for those under the age of 18. 

Symptoms may not alleviate immediately. The product should be taken for 2-4 weeks continuously for the best chance of improvement. 

Do not exceed the stated daily dose.

How effective are Nytol Herbal Tablets?

The blend of 3 natural active ingredients has been proven to assist against the symptoms of sleeplessness and insomnia. All three have been used for many years as traditional remedies to act as sedatives, to induce sleep and promote calmness.

What are the side effects of Nytol Herbal Tablets?

Like all medicines, this medicine may cause side effects. Valerian root has been known to cause nausea and stomach cramps. There have also been 2 isolated cases of side effects from passion flower – one of vasculitis (hypersensitivity) and one of tachycardia (increased heart rate)

Do not use Nytol Herbal Tablets if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.

Do not use Nytol Herbal Tablets if you are under the age of 18.

Do not use Nytol Herbal Tablets if you are taking any other medication to assist your sleep or for anxiety. 

Do not use Nytol Herbal Tablets if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or are likely to become pregnant while using.

What is the difference between Nytol Herbal Tablets and Kalms One A Night sleep aid herbal tablets / Neurexan Homeopathic Sleep Remedy?

Kalms One A Night contains only valerian root as the active ingredient. You need only to take one tablet per night. 

Neurexan Homeopathic Sleep Remedy contains avena sativa, passion flower and valerian. This is a packet of 50, and they must be taken 3 times per day. Neurexan Homeopathic Sleep Remedy is suitable for use by children as well as adults.

Can I combine Nytol Herbal Tablets with other sleeping medication?

You should not combine any other drug for the treatment of lack of sleep with Nytol Herbal Tablets. Combining drugs may cause severe harm to the body.

Can I combine Nytol Herbal Tablets with other medication?

Although Nytol Herbal Tablets are generally safe to combine with other drugs, you should not combine them with medication used for the treatment of depression and anxiety.

How should I store Nytol Herbal Tablets?

You should store Nytol Herbal Tablets in a cool dry place, out of reach from children, at room temperature. The herbal product should not be exposed to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.

Like all medicines, you are likely to experience a number of side effects from using Nytol Herbal Tablets. However evidence suggests that side effects are often mild and do not cause any harm. Common side effects include the following:

  • nausea/ feeling sick
  • Abdominal cramps
  • Stomach pains
  • Heavy sleep

If any of these side effects worsen, you should stop using Nytol Herbal Tablets and seek medical advice from a GP or pharmacist as soon as possible.
