What is Diprosalic Ointment?

Diprosalic Ointment is a prescription-only treatment used for skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema. It contains two active ingredients betamethasone and salicylic acid. Diprosalic belongs to a group of medicines called corticosteroids and helps reduce inflammation, redness, itchy and scaling.

This ointment is manufactured by Organon Pharma (UK) Limited and is intended for external use only on affected areas, as directed by your Pharmacist.

How does Diprosalic Ointment work?

Diprosalic contains betamethasone dipropionate and salicylic acid, which work together to treat inflammatory skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema.

  • Betamethasone dipropionate: A potent corticosteroid that reduces inflammation by narrowing the blood vessels in the skin. This helps to relieve redness, swelling, and itching.

  • Salicylic acid: A keratolytic agent that softens and removes scaly skin, allowing the corticosteroid to absorb more effectively into the affected areas.
