Right after a feeding, you can give the drops to your baby (2.5ml per dose) to release any trapped air in his or her stomach. You can administer a maximum of 6 x 2.5ml doses to your child after every feeding within 24 hours. Do not begin this treatment if your baby has a thyroid disorder and is being treated for it. Prior to using this product, consult your doctor. If your baby is allergic to any of the ingredients contained in the product, don’t give it to him or her. Is your baby intolerant to certain sugars? Ask your doctor first because this product contains sucrose.
What is the difference between Dentinox Infant Colic Drops and Simethicone/ Gasofilm?
Simethicone, as an anti-foaming agent, is used to relieve bloating, pain and discomfort brought about by excess gas in the gut. Simethicone contains activated dimethicone, but dimethicone does not contain silica.
Secondly, Gasofilm is also an available activated dimethicone medicine, but it is more expensive. It needs to be used with caution for patients below 18 years old and is therefore not safe for use with infants.
What if I forget to give my child a dose of Dentinox Infant Colic Drops?
If you forget to give your child their dose of Dentinox Infant Colic Drops, you should skip the dose you just missed and continue as normal. You should never give two doses at once even if you are making up for a missed dose.
