Paracetamol oral suspension can be used for the treatment of moderate pain and fever in children. It can be used to alleviate symptoms of colds, flu, headaches, toothache, sore throat, nerve ache, period pain and other basic aches and pains.
- Age 2 months for relief of fever after vaccination 2.5ml every 4 hours and up to 4 times in 24 hours, starting at the time of the vaccination. However, if your baby still needs this medicine two days after receiving the vaccine, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. Do not give to babies less than two months of age.
- Age 3 to 11 months 2.5ml to 5ml every 4 hours and up to 4 times in 24 hours
- Age 1 to 5 years 5ml to 10ml every 4 hours and up to 4 times in 24 hours
- Age 6 to 12 years 10ml to 20ml every 4 hours and up to 4 times in 24 hours
This medication is for oral use only to be taken with or after the food. It is essential to shake the bottle for at least 10 seconds before use.
Do not take this medicine together with any other paracetamol containing product.
Each 5ml teaspoon of Paracetamol Oral Suspension 120mg/5ml contains 120mg of paracetamol.
Like all medicines, after using Paracetamol Oral Suspension you are likely to experience a number of side effects. Common side effects include the following:
