What is Dentinox Cradle Cap

In case of cradle cape pain, Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo is formulated to cleanse the baby's scalp. Cradle cap could look like dry skin on the baby's scalp. Dentinox Cradle Cap Sodium lauryl ether sulpho-succinate shampoo and sodium lauryl ether sulphate help smooth the skin and purify the hair.

What dose should I choose?

Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo comes in a 125ml bottle. It is designed for use on infants. It is recommended to use two applications of 2-3ml at each bath-time until the scalp has recovered. Then use as required to prevent a further flare-up. Do not use Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo more than once per day.

How effective is Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo?

Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo is an effective way of removing Cradle Cap from your baby. In a clinical trial by Huntingdon Research Centre, the product was effective in 25 out of 26 patients. A 1% cetavlon placebo control was only effective in 6 out of 19 patients. Designed for children, the shampoo produces minimal foam and bubbles to avoid painful eyes.

Can I buy Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo online?

Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo does not require a prescription although you are very welcome to book an appointment with a health expert at Click Pharmacy to discuss how best to use this product. It can be purchased online in 125ml bottles and will be sent directly to you by Next Day Delivery.

How long do I need to apply Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo to work before I notice a difference?

The number of applications required will depend on the severity of the Cradle Cap. For mild cases, an improvement can be made within a few applications. For more severe cases, it may take several cycles to see a significant improvement. If you notice any signs of distress or side-effects, do not hesitate to contact your healthcare professional.

Never use more than two applications (2-3ml) per day. Do not be tempted to pick scales off if they are slow to move. Simply follow the routine until the flakes naturally wash away.

What are the side effects of Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo?

The most common side effects of Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo are:

  • Application site hypersensitivity.

  • Application site erythema.

  • Application site irritation.

  • Application site Inflammation.

  • Application site Alopecia.

  • Application site Dryness.

Hair loss may occur as hair caught in the cradle cap is removed when the scale falls off. This is to be expected even without the application of Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo.

If you suffer severe reactions with this medication, please seek immediate medical attention.

How should I apply Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo?

To apply Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo, perform the following steps:

  1. Before beginning to apply the shampoo, brush the hair with a soft brush to loosen the flakes.

  2. Wet the baby’s hair with warm water.

  3. Apply a small amount (around 2-3ml) of the shampoo to your palm.

  4. Massage firmly but gently across the entire head.

  5. Do not worry about touching the soft scalp.

  6. Do not massage excessively or use hot water.

  7. Rinse off and repeat for a second round.

  8. Rinse well.

  9. Gently dry.

Do not attempt to pick scales off. Wait for a further couple of applications – there should be an improvement. Picking scale/dry patches can lead to infection and serious health issues.

Before applying for the first time, apply the shampoo to a small area of skin and wash off after a few minutes. If the treated area turns red or shows any signs of inflammation, do not use it on the scalp.

When shouldn’t I apply Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo?

Do not use Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo if there are signs of atopic eczema such as itching, erythema, blistering/swelling, skin cracking, dryness or exfoliation. Before using on the scalp, test a small sample on a less sensitive area of skin and check for any inflammation or soreness after 24 hours. If you notice any signs of reaction, then do not use the product.

Do not useDentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo if your baby has any open wounds. Stinging will occur. If wounds are weeping, see your doctor at the earliest opportunity.

Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo does not contain nuts, but some raw materials may contain traces. If the patient has a nut allergy do not risk using Dentinox

How does Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo work?

Cradle Cap is a common condition that affects young children and babies. It is a type of seborrheic dermatitis. It commonly exhibits itself as yellow, greasy, thick scaly patches of skin. While the appearance can be shocking, it is a common ailment affecting many children. Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo is designed to alleviate the symptoms of Cradle Cap.

Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo works by using surfactants to soften the scale-like skin. Gentle massaging while wet then helps to wash away the dead skin. Regular cleansing agents help to wash the hair and carry away the dirt and dead skin. Carefully formulated, foaming agents are minimised to help reduce stinging eyes.

What is the difference between Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo and Colief Baby Scalp Oil/Aveeno Baby Wash & Shampoo

Dentinox makes use of the surfactants - sodium lauryl ether sulpho-succinate and sodium lauryl ether sulphate. These help to soften and remove the Cradle Cap Scales.

Colief Baby Scalp Oil takes a different approach and uses Natural Ingredients and Oils.

Aveeno Baby is designed particularly for babies with allergies. It is Hypoallergenic, Tear-free, and made with natural oats.

Just as with adult hair, the choice of baby shampoo is a personal one. Many carers choose to try a variety of shampoos before settling on one that suits the baby well. Whichever you choose, make sure it does not cause any allergic reactions. If in doubt, seek medical advice.

Will using Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo cause any allergies?

The ingredients used to formulate Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo may contain some traces of nuts. If your child has a history of any nut allergy then you should refrain from using Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo.

Should I sample a test patch of Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo before using it on my baby?

It is advised to test a small sample patch of Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo. This is because baby skin is highly sensitive, testing on a less sensitive area will ensure it is completely safe for your baby to use.

After using Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo you may notice that your baby is beginning to experience hair loss. This is a completely normal side effect to experience, as it means the roots of your baby’s hair were combined to patches of cradle cap. Indicating that the shampoo is treating the cradle cap effectively.

If your baby experiences any other side effects such as inflamed skin, swelling, redness, or itching you should stop using Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo and seek medical advice immediately.
