How should I take Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser?
Cleansing is an essential first step in a daily skincare routine. Cleansers help to dissolve the daily buildup of dirt, oils, impurities and makeup. How does Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser work?
Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser contains Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Methylparaben, Butylparaben, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Propylene Glycol and water. Cetyl Alcohol and Stearyl Alcohol are emollients and thickening agents. They thicken the consistency. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is the foaming agent, and it is often used in skin cleansers. Propylene glycol is the key active ingredient present in Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser that hydrates the skin. The propylparaben, butylparaben and methylparaben are common skincare product preservatives. This product is fragrance and essential-oil free and also alcohol-free.
How long do I take Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser for before I notice a difference?
Cleansers do not need to be absorbed by the skin. Though skin cleansers attempt to cure the skin of common conditions, facial products are not miracle products. Cleansers eliminate the excess oil and the debris without irritating or drying out the skin. Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser must be used once daily until the skin appears to be fresh. This will usually be less than one week.

When shouldn’t I take Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser?
Do not begin this treatment if you are already suffering from any existing skin conditions or allergies. If you develop a problem relating to the skin, consult your doctor or physician.
What is the difference between Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, Differin Cleanser and La Roche-Posay cleanser?
Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser uses a soap-free formula to clean the skin while at the same time avoiding irritation or dry skin. It helps to hydrate the skin using the active ingredient.
Differin cleanser uses benzoyl peroxide to penetrate the pores. It then absorbs any excess oils.
La Roche-Posay cleaner creates a softening foaming gel that helps avoid skin drying out.
Always read the patient information leaflet before starting a course of treatment. The patient information can be found here.
