What is Lamisil Anti Fungal

Lamisil AT 1% Spray is an antifungal spray used to treat skin conditions caused by fungi such as athlete’s foot, ringworm, tinea versicolor, and jock itch. It contains the active ingredient terbinafine, which is classified as an antifungal medicine. Its convenient format makes it easy to carry, especially when used by athletes because the spray cannot be crushed during transportation. It is also easy to apply without getting the product on the hands.

Fungi cause contagious infections that may be transmitted to others. It is important to treat them and eliminate the fungus and its spores completely. This is to avoid re-infection and contamination to other areas of the body and other people. Fungi generally thrive in humid and warm environments, and so these infections tend to appear where there are skin folds and in areas which tend to be moist.

There are various symptoms to watch out for with fungal infections.

Inguinal infections tend to cause itching and raised inflamed skin around the groin area, buttocks, and thighs. This type of infection tends to affect more men than women. The lesions may be oozing, and sometimes blisters are formed. If left untreated, this can become extremely uncomfortable and painful. The area may also have some discolouration – lightening or darkening of the skin.

Ringworm can appear anywhere on the body as a ring-shaped red rash. This is where it gets its name. The rash may appear with vesicles around the edges and sometimes with blisters. The skin may be dry, thick, or flaky. The rash is itchy and appears more often in children than in adults. You can get ringworm via transmission from infected people or animals (including pets). It is important to check any pets you are living with to see if they also have the infection.

How long do I use Lamisil AT 1% Spray for before I notice a difference?

Lamisil AT 1% Spray is applied to the affected area once a day for one week only for all type of fungal infections. Even though the treatment is used for one week, the skin will continue to heal in the following weeks, and you will notice more changes. However, if there is no improvement after the second week, you should consult your doctor, especially if you are diabetic or have circulation problems.

What are the side effects of Lamisil AT 1% Spray?

How Effective Is Lamisil AT 1% Spray?

The typical symptoms of athlete’s foot are redness, itching, flaking, and burning skin, primarily in the space between the toes. It is common and can affect anyone. It is transmitted from person to another, even indirectly, for example, by using the same towels or sharing a shower. Closed shoes provide a warm and moist environment in which these fungi thrive. If left untreated, this infection can also spread to the toenails, hands, and groin area. Athlete’s foot must be treated; it does not go away on its own.

Lamisil AT 1% Spray acts by killing these fungi and their spores, thus stopping the infection and its spread to other areas of the body. The symptoms of redness, itching, inflammation, flakiness and discomfort are eliminated when the infection goes.
