What is Daktarin Intensiv

Daktarin Intensiv Cream has been developed to compromise with each Athlete's Foot and Dobie Itch. It can be enforced to both the foot and the groin area, relying on the symptoms.

How does Daktarin Intensiv Cream work?

Athletes foot is a fungal infection that usually develops between the toes. It is most common for people whose feet are sweaty while wearing tight-fitting shoes.

Daktarin Intensiv contains the ingredient ketoconazole. Ketoconazole is an antifungal used to treat fungal infections such as athlete's foot. Ketoconazole works by interfering with the fungi and yeast cell membranes. It works by preventing the production of ergosterol which is a key element of fungal cell membranes. This disrupts the membrane and causes holes to appear.

The membrane stops unwanted substances entering the cells and stops the content from leaking out. When the miconazole makes holes in the membranes, the contents leak out, and the fungi dies.

What is the difference between Daktarin Intensiv Cream and Daktarin Activ/Lamisil Once Cream?

Daktarin Aktiv is a cream that uses miconazole nitrate to fight the fungus that causes Athlete's Foot. It has to be applied every day.

Daktarin Intensiv uses ketoconazole to fight the fungus that causes Athlete's Foot. Daktarin Intensiv can also be used for Dhobie Itch. It is also applied every day.

Lamisil Once Cream works a little differently to the Daktarin Creams. The cream is applied once. The active ingredient - terbinafine - continues to work for the next month to fight the infection.
