What is Laxido Orange

Laxido Orange is used for the treatment of chronic (recurring) constipation, especially when you have been constipated for a long time. It is also used to solve faecal impaction, the build-up of hardened faeces in the bowel that result from long-term constipation. It contains the active ingredient Macrogol 3350 which makes faeces softer and thus easier to pass. The powder should be mixed with water to make a solution that tastes and smells of orange. Laxido Orange Sachets contain a powder for an oral solution in a single-dose format.

How Effective Are Laxido Orange Sachets?

Laxido Orange Powder Sachets Sugarfree contain Macrogol 3350, which is a laxative used in the treatment of chronic constipation and faecal impaction. This medicine is especially useful when you have suffered from constipation for a long time. There may be a build-up of hardened faeces in your bowel, which is called faecal impaction.

Macrogol 3350 acts by drawing water into the bowels and faeces, thus making the stool softer and more comfortable to pass, relieving constipation. The electrolytes in the formulation also help to maintain the body’s normal levels of sodium, potassium, and water during the treatment with Laxido Orange Sachets.

It is indicated for use in adolescents, adults, and the elderly. It is not recommended for use in children.

Can I buy Laxido Orange Sachets online?

Laxido Orange Sachets are available to buy online without a prescription from a doctor. However, you are welcome to book an appointment with a health expert at Click Pharmacy to discuss how best to use this product. The sachets come in cartons of 20 or 30. What dose should I choose?

Laxido Orange Sachets are available in one dose. Each sachet contains 13.125g Macrogol 3350, 350.7mg sodium chloride, 178.5mg sodium hydrogen carbonate, and 46.6mg potassium chloride.

How should I use Laxido Orange Sachets?

You should dissolve the powder in one sachet of Laxido Orange in one glass of water – that is, 125ml or a quarter pint. This should be stirred well until all the powder has dissolved and you have a solution that tastes and smells of orange. Once you have made the solution, you should either consume it immediately or store it in the refrigerator and use it within six hours. After six hours, any unused solution needs to be discarded.

If you are suffering from constipation, the usual dose is one sachet three times a day.

In the case of faecal impaction, the recommended dose is eight sachets in a day. All eight sachets need to be consumed within a 6-hour period. This should be avoided if you have a heart condition; instead, you should limit your intake to two sachets in any one hour.

If you miss a dose by mistake, take it when you remember and then continue with the treatment as before. If it is already time for your next dose, do not take a double dose to make up for it.

You should contact your doctor if your symptoms get worse or if your symptoms do not improve after the duration of treatment.
