The effective ingredients contained in Germoloids Ointment are zinc oxide and lidocaine. Zinc oxide, with its astringent properties, help to scale back swelling, whereas lidocaine is an area anaesthetic that works to appease ache, irritation, swelling and itching.
How effective is Germoloids Ointment?
Germoloids Ointment is a useful product to relieve and treat haemorrhoids. Zinc oxide, in combination with other compounds, is known to be one of the best modern remedies for haemorrhoids (which happens to be an ancient disease). According to an entry in The Permanent Journal of the US National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health, a majority of patients with haemorrhoids can be treated by avoiding constipation and applying zinc oxide and other topical ointments. If there is not a more serious underlying condition, patients would typically respond to zinc oxide ointments for treating haemorrhoids.
Germoloids Ointment can be purchased online and in local pharmacies and supermarkets without a prescription. You can feel at ease to book an appointment with a health expert at Click Pharmacy to discuss how to best use this product. It is available in tubes of 25ml or 55ml contents. If you buy in bulk, your package will be sent directly for free by Next Day Delivery.
What dose should I choose?
Germoloids Ointment is sold in 25ml and 55ml tubes. This medication is applied at least 2 times a day for a minimum of 3 to 4 hours interval. If needed, further administration may be considered, especially after a bowel movement. Don't use this product for more than 4 times in 24 hours. For the treatment of internal piles, an applicator is used to expel the medication inside the anus. This product is recommended for use only by children 12 years and older and adults.
How should I use Germoloids Ointment?
Upon first use, make sure that the tube seal of the product is not broken.
Peel the seal from the tag to remove it.
Administer the medication as a topical ointment to treat external haemorrhoids. Apply it directly on to the affected area.
If you're using this product to treat internal haemorrhoids, attach the applicator nozzle on to the tube. Ease the application by smearing a small amount of the ointment outside of the nose. Insert the nozzle carefully into the anal opening. As you gently squeeze the tube, slowly withdraw the nozzle. This way, the ointment will smoothly move up into the anus.
After using, firmly replace the lid. Keep the ointment tube, cap and nozzle clean all the time.
This medication is typically applied at least 2 times a day with a minimum of 3 to 4 hours interval in between. You can use further treatments at any time of the day, particularly after moving bowels.
Do not use this product for more than 4 times in a day (24-hour period).
Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you need more information pertaining to the use of this medicine.
Do not use this product if you have a known hypersensitivity to zinc oxide or lidocaine as well as the other ingredients contained in it.
Although generally safe to use during pregnancy or when breastfeeding, you should first discuss with your doctor if you plan to use this medication.
Check the expiration date on the product package. Refrain from using if it has lapsed.
Store this product at room temperature and away from heat or moisture.
Keep out of sight or reach of children.
