Ingredients
Germoloids suppositories are used as a local anaesthetic pain relief, to soothe itching, and to shrink plies. It provides fast and effective relief from the swelling and irritation associated with internal haemorrhoids and anal itching.
Its triple action formula consists of two active substances, zinc oxide and lidocaine:
-
Zinc oxide has astringent properties which cause contractions when applied to the skin. It helps to shrink swelling, soothes and protects the area around the anus from damage and has mild antiseptic characteristics.
-
Lidocaine is one of the local anaesthetics that relieves swelling, pain and irritation. It also has a positive effect on itching.
The suppository base acts as a lubricant and emollient, making it easy for stool to pass and reducing straining during bowel movement, which is irritating for haemorrhoids. Germoloids has a line of products that can be used to address the primary symptoms of piles.
