How to take Efracea capsules
The usual dosage of Efracea is one capsule per day, usually taken in the morning with a full glass of water. Swallow it whole without crushing or chewing. It is best taken on an empty stomach, at least one hour before or two hours after meals, to ensure proper absorption.
After taking Efracea, avoid lying down for at least 30 minutes to reduce the risk of irritation. Do not take it with dairy products, antacids, or supplements containing calcium, magnesium, or iron, as these can interfere with absorption. Always follow your doctor instructions regarding the duration of treatment for the best results.
Efracea side effects

- Do not take Efracea if you are currently using any oral retinoids.
You should always consult your doctor before starting Efracea if you:
- Have liver or kidney problems.
- Have a history of oesophageal conditions, such as reflux or difficulty swallowing.
- Are currently suffering to yeast infections.
- Have myasthenia gravis or another muscle disease.
- Have lupus, as doxycycline can sometimes make symptoms worse.
- Currently suffer from colitis or other bowel conditions
