How does Woodward’s Gripe Water work?
Mothers and nannies first used the original gripe water in the 1850s. It contained alcohol as it was believed it made babies relaxed. In recent times, it is believed that liquorice, dill, ginger and fennel in Gripe Water help to relieve gas and stomach discomfort. Some experts believe that it might be effective simply because it tastes sweet.
