For children three-twelve months, we advise one 5ml spoonful. For children one-five years it is recommended two 5ml spoonfuls. After use, ensure the neck of the bottle is wiped clean, and the safety cap is firmly closed. Allow 3 to 4 hours between doses.
Giving your child too much Tixylix Syrup could lead to diarrhoea so please ensure to follow the dosage guidelines and never give your child a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. A single dose should be more than enough.

Tixylix Syrup is a soothing cough suppressant. The active ingredient, glycerol can also sometimes block cough receptors in the throat, reducing irritation suffered and aiding recovery. Glycerol is an alcohol-free compound, which works quickly to relieve the symptoms of dry, tickly coughs. Glycerol creates a protective, demulcent film, which forms over mucous membranes in the mouth.
Tixylix Syrup is suitable for all children aged from three months to five years who experience tickling coughs. Tixylix Syrup has a natural blackcurrant and vanilla flavour, which makes it easy for children to take comfortably.
It's typical for symptoms to subside within three days of taking Tixylix Syrup. If there is no change, or symptoms start to worsen after three days, please consult a doctor as soon as possible. Please remember that while Tixylix Syrup is an effective cough suppressant, it should be taken in conjunction with fluids and plenty of rest in a warm environment will further aid your child's recovery.
When taken in moderation, there are no known adverse effects. The active ingredient, glycerol holds moisture and can, in cases of overuse, lead to dehydration which can cause diarrhoea in overuse. Please ensure to keep the medicine out of sight and reach of children. Please ensure not to go over the recommended dosage.
