In contrast, the main active ingredients of the former have a formula of different ingredients that are comprised of Aqua, Hamamelis Virginia (Witch Hazel), Alcohol, Boric Acid, Glycerine, Sodium Borate, and Benzalkonium Chloride.

    The main difference between Optrex Refreshing eye drops and Systane is that the main active ingredient of Systane is  Polyethylene Glycol 400 0.4% and Propylene Glycol 0.3% as lubricants, whereas previously stated, the main ingredients of Optrex are a concoction of different ingredients.
