Daktarin Aktiv cream

Daktarin Aktiv Cream has been developed to help treat athlete’s foot.  The active ingredient – miconazole nitrate works by killing the fungus that causes the infection. It also helps destroy associated bacteria that are present. The cream is also a moisturiser and helps to soothe dry and damaged skin.

Can I buy Daktarin Aktiv Cream online?

Daktarin Aktiv does not require a prescription, although you are very welcome to book an appointment with a health expert at Click Pharmacy to discuss how best to use this product. Daktarin Aktiv can be purchased online and will be sent directly to you by Next Day Delivery. Multipacks are also available.

What dose should I choose?

Daktarin Aktiv is available in 15 g and 30 g tubes.

1 dose is defined as a single application to the infected area.

1 dose should be applied each morning and night.

How should I apply Daktarin Aktiv Cream?

To apply Daktarin Aktiv, perform the following steps:

1) Wash the infected area.

2) Dry well - do not share a towel with others as you may risk spreading the infection.

3) Apply the cream to the infected area and surrounding skin.

4)Wash your hands carefully after applying the cream to avoid spreading the infection to other parts of the body or other people. Similarly, clothing which comes into contact with the infected areas, such as socks, should be washed and changed frequently.

How does Daktarin Aktiv Cream work?

Athletes foot is a fungal infection that usually develops between the toes. It is most common for people whose feet are sweaty while wearing tight-fitting shoes.

Daktarin Aktiv contains the ingredient miconazole. Miconazole is an antifungal used to treat fungal infections such as athletes foot. Miconazole works by interfering with the fungi and yeast cell membranes. It works by preventing the production of ergosterol which is a crucial element of fungal cell membranes. This disrupts the membrane and causes holes to appear.

The membrane stops unwanted substances entering the cells and stops the content from leaking out. When the miconazole makes holes in the membranes, the contents leak out, and the fungi die.

How long do I need to apply Daktarin Aktiv Cream to work before I notice a difference?

Daktarin Aktiv should be applied twice a day. Once the symptoms have disappeared, continue to use the cream for a further 7 days. This will help prevent the re-occurrence of the infection.

What are the side effects of Daktarin Aktiv Cream?

Daktarin Aktiv is a cream that uses miconazole nitrate to fight the fungus that causes Athlete's Foot. It has to be applied every day.

Daktarin Intensiv uses ketoconazole to fight the fungus that causes Athlete's Foot. Daktarin Intensiv can also be used for Dhobie Itch. It is also applied every day.

Lamisil Once Cream works a little differently to the Daktarin Creams. The cream is applied once. The active ingredient - terbinafine - continues to work for the next month to fight the infection.
