Clearblue Digital Ovulation (10) Tests

Clearblue Digital Ovulation Tests help a woman discover which are her fertile days in each cycle. There are only a few days in each cycle when a woman can conceive, and so it is important to have sex on these days in order to increase the chances of pregnancy. Clearblue Digital Ovulation Tests helps to maximise the chances of conception by identifying the 2 most fertile days in the cycle. The tests detect an increase in the hormone, which indicates ovulation - a luteinising hormone or LH.

How accurate are Clearblue Digital Ovulation Tests?

Clearblue Digital Ovulation Tests are used to identify the 2 most fertile days in each menstrual cycle. This is generally done to improve the chances of conception. The tests measure changes in the level of a key fertility hormone - luteinising hormone (LH). This is a more accurate method than calendar (family planning) and temperature methods, with an unmistakable and clear result shown on a digital display.

The test is over 99% accurate in detecting the LH surge in the 2 most fertile days. When there is a surge in LH this indicates ovulation over the next 48 hours, meaning that the woman is most fertile on the day of the positive test and the day after.

Clearblue Digital Ovulation Tests are the only ovulation test strips which show a digital smiley face when they detect an LH surge. This eliminates confusion and makes the product more comfortable to read.

Can I buy Clearblue Digital Ovulation Tests online?

Clearblue Digital Ovulation Tests can be purchased online without the need for a prescription from your doctor. However, you are welcome to book an appointment with a health expert at Click Pharmacy to discuss how best to use this product. They can be purchased online in packs of 10 tests, and will be sent directly to you by Next Day Delivery.

Why should I use Clearblue Digital Ovulation Tests ?

When a couple is trying for a baby, Clearblue Digital Ovulation Tests help a woman discover which are her fertile days in each cycle. There are only a few days in each cycle when a woman can conceive, and so it is important to have sex on these days in order to increase the chances of pregnancy. Clearblue Digital Ovulation Tests helps to maximise the chances of conception by identifying the 2 most fertile days in the cycle.

How do I use Clearblue Digital Ovulation Tests?

The Clearblue Digital Ovulation Test is 99% accurate in detecting the LH surge during the 2 most fertile days of the woman’s cycle.

It is essential to make a note of the approximate cycle length before using the tests. A cycle is calculated from the day that the period starts (when the blood is first seen) to the day before the next period. Some women have regular cycles, while others do not. When cycles are irregular, an average of days of different cycles should be taken.

The test may be conducted at any time of day, but at the same time of day should be used for all the tests during that cycle. It is advisable not to drink too much liquid and to avoid urination for approximately 4 hours before doing the test. For these reasons, most women prefer to use the test first thing in the morning.

The test should be removed from the packaging only when ready to use. The stick should be inserted into the holder before testing so that the pink arrows line up. The sampler should be placed under a flowing urine stream for 5-7 seconds or into a collected sample of urine for 15 seconds. The test holder should not be wet.

The holder with the test stick should then be placed on a flat surface, not held up vertically pointing downwards or up. The flashing 'test ready' symbol shows that the test is working and that enough urine has been placed on the strip. The result will show within 3 minutes and will remain on display for 8 minutes.

A black circle shows that no LH surge has been detected and that this is not the fertile period of the cycle. Another test should be conducted on the next day at the same time.

A smiley face shows that an LH surge has been detected and therefore the woman is ovulating. During the next 48 hours, the chances of conception are higher, and the couple should have sex during these two days to try to get pregnant. During this cycle, no more tests are necessary as the fertile period has been detected.

After the use of each test, this must be ejected from the holder by pressing the eject button and discarded hygienically. A used test stick should not be re-inserted into the holder.

When should I use Clearblue Digital Ovulation Tests?

The day the LH surge occurs will differ from woman to woman and may be different from one cycle to another. To have the best chance of detecting ovulation when the LH surge occurs, it is best to know the usual cycle length.

The cycle is calculated from the day one's period begins (when the blood is first seen) to the day before the next period. Some women have regular cycles while others do not. When cycles are irregular an average of days of different cycles should be taken.

Counting the first day of the period (when blood first appears) as day 1, the first test should be conducted 17 days before the next period. For example, if the cycle is 28 days, the first test should be done on day 11. If the cycle is 22 days long or shorter, the first test should be conducted on day 5 of the cycle.

One test should be conducted every day until a smiley face appears. The smiley face indicates that ovulation is occurring and that the couple should have sex on that day and the next day for conception to occur.

There is no need to conduct more tests after the smiley face appears. The remaining tests may be used during the next cycle if necessary.
